Two of our Favorite Memphis Wedding Hair & Makeup Artists

Great vendors make all the difference in how your wedding day runs — there are SO many incredibly talented hair & makeup artists in Memphis, but I had the privilege to do a shoot for these two ladies’ content/branding recently, so I wanted to highlight them :) Feeling your best & most importantly, yourself, on your big day is so important & that’s exactly what these two specialize in.
Made Up and Cuttin’ Up
If you ever have the chance to meet Charlotte, you won’t forget it! She’s not only incredibly kind & fun to be around, she’s SO beautiful! You can’t forget a head full of curls like hers :) We met at a wedding last year & hit it off — since then it’s been fun to get to know each other over coffee & shared experiences in the wedding industry.
Charlotte started Made Up and Cuttin’ Up based on her desire to bring a different outlook to the beauty industry in Memphis. She explained the name is a pun — a play on “making clients up” & “cutting up”, or joking around (also a nod towards cutting hair since she’s a hairstylist). Charlotte uses a personable approach with her brides to make sure their day is special, while also making sure they enjoy themselves through the process 😊 She believes brides should pick a look for their wedding that makes them feel like the best version of themselves — something just a little different than their usual daily look. Your wedding day is truly your day to SHINE!
Fun fact about Charlotte: In her spare time she loves to write fiction novels & draw the characters she creates in her books.
Jess Robinson Beauty
Jess’s work speaks for itself — she’s amazing at what she does & is truly a calming presence from the minute you meet her — & surrounding yourself with calming people on your wedding day is a MUST. Jess focuses on natural beauty & playing up her bride’s best features without “overdoing it”. She’s always loved hair & makeup & got her start when she danced on the pom squad at Mississippi State — she learned a lot while helping other girls before game-day performances.
After graduating from college, Jess went to beauty school & jumped straight into helping brides with their wedding day hair & makeup. Her biggest piece of advice is to plan a trial run — this time is key to figuring out what you like/don’t like & getting your look dialed in before the big day.
Fun fact about Jess: After a wedding, she ALWAYS goes to Taco Bell — it’s a guilty pleasure & completes cheat days in her book :) In her free time, she loves spending time with her family & boyfriend — they are her best friends & make her feel like the luckiest girl in the world!
