1. Overton Park & Square
Overton Park & Square are some of our favorite spots with tons of natural beauty. The Levitt Shell and Brooks Museum of Art both offer great lighting and fun architectural backdrops. If you’re a fan of the outdoors, we can also incorporate some of Overton Park’s shaded areas and open fields into your session. Overton Square can add a fun pop of color while giving you a little bit more of an urban feel. Combined, these two location choices give tons of variety to your overall set of images. 2. Downtown Memphis
Downtown Memphis is so fun and exciting, and it offers plenty of great locations for an engagement session. Many of our clients who love Downtown’s vibes have opted to have their engagement session here, and with charming historic buildings, trolleys, and beautiful rooftops, you can’t go wrong. 3. Broad Avenue Arts District
A hidden treasure in Memphis is the Broad Avenue Arts District. Engagement sessions in this part of town are always unique. There are a few coffee shops and cute storefronts that make great backdrops. The colorful water tower and vintage, artistic buildings also offer an opportunity to capture your creative side.
4. Mud Island
We love the unique setting that Mud Island offers for an engagement session. There are so many different opportunities to change up the scenery throughout your session. I love to start Mud Island sessions in one of the quaint parks surrounded by beautiful homes. It’s fun to walk the streets and stop in to grab some coffee before heading down to the river. Mud Island offers the perfect view of the Memphis bridge and sunset!
5. Rhodes College
If you’re looking for a unique space for your engagement session, Rhodes College in Memphis could be the perfect place for you. We have fallen in love with the charm of the historic buildings around campus. We know our Rhodes girls love this location because of the wonderful memories they’ve made here, but even if you’re not an alumna of Rhodes, the incredibly detailed building structures and art and design offer an opportunity for beautiful engagement photos.
